THE SCHOOL


Between all the different kinds of methods of diving education ALBATROS-DIVING has chosen the PADI educational system for various reasons:

  • The variety of programmes will always give you the opportunity to find a course adapted to your level: to start and learn diving or to perfectionize your skills. In the PADI ALBATROS-DIVING School you can do everything ranging from a check-dive up to a professional licence such as the Assistant Instructor Course. All the courses are tought in your own language.

"Try-out diving course":

Your first underwater experience. If you want to discover the 'underwaterworld' without giving up a great deal of your time. We will give you a theoretical introduction first and then you really will go diving in the sea together with your Instructor at a depth of about 5 to 8 metres. All this takes only about 2 ½ hours and if you want to, after finishing this course you can go on diving with us.


PADI "Scuba Diver":

A basic diving licence that entitles you to dive with a Dive Instructor. Moreover you have one year's time to continue and obtain your "Open Water Diver" licence. You can do this with us or in another PADI diving center. This course consists of 3 modules theory with videotapes, 3 modules pool-exercices with full equipment and 2 dives in the sea and all this in only two days' time.

PADI "Open Water Diver":

If you want to complete a full course and obtain an internationally recognized diving licence, which allows you to dive anywhere in the world. The course consists of 5 modules diving theory, 5 modules confined water training and 4 dives in the sea. This course takes all together 4 days in a full-day programme.

PADI "Scuba Review":

You already have your diving licence but you have not been practising for quite a while and you want to refresh your skills in order to get your confidence back. You will have a class of rehearsal theory, some exercises in confined water going over the different diving techniques and consequently a dive in the sea under the supervision of an Instructor.

PADI "Advanced Open Water Diver":

You already have your diving licence (of whatever organisation) and you want to concentrate on more specific aspects of diving. It is an advanced course that consists of a theoretical part and 5 specific dives. We will make a deep dive, a night dive, a navigation dive with compass, a naturalist dive and a wreck dive .

PADI "Enriched air NITROX":

New! You will learn the principles of diving with oxygen enriched air allowing you to extend your bottom time reducing N2 saturation. One theoretical class together with student manual, videos and special diving tables will teach you everything about the advantage of Nitrox. Afterwards you will make two "Nitrox " dives in the sea. Minimum level: "O.W.D." (Or equivalent).
