CAVES

The West coast of Majorca, especially around the bay of Cala Millor, is a great destination for people who love cave diving. It’s on this stretch of coast that the famous caves of Drach and Arta are found, and most of our dives are located between these formations. There are hundreds of caves, caverns, tunnels and gaps. You can spot morays and congers peering out from their holes in the rock, scorpion fish glare at you from crevasses, and cardinal fish add a splash of scarlet reflected in your torchlight. Invertebrates like hermit crabs live together with sea anemones, the fragile fans of tube worms wave gently in the current and vanish suddenly if they´re disturbed. And the columns of stalactites and stalacmites are home to glorious red and yellow anemones which only show their true colours under your torchlight. The caves of Majorcas West coast offer some spectacular sights. These are four of our favourites...
